Abstract

Innovation is considered an element in the competitiveness of companies, understanding how companies innovate will help generate useful knowledge to be able to design appropriate and efficient incentive policies. This research analyzes what University-Business linkage strategies should be that can be applied through a linkage model to strengthen them and achieve positive progress in the city of Sucre. An extensive field study was carried out to obtain internal and external information on the perception of the U.M.R.P.S.F.X.CH. regarding the relationship it has with companies in the city of Sucre and the contribution it makes to the generation of innovation processes in them; this by conducting interviews with the main authorities of facultative units, surveys of companies in Sucre in three sectors: commercial, industrial and services, obtaining interesting results and conclusions since, for example, the main innovations carried out by companies in Sucre are framed in marketing, strategic alliances and the launching new products.
